Robin Chemers Neustein

Robin Chemers Neustein is a Senior Director of Goldman Sachs. She joined the Rockefeller Board of Trustees in March 2000, after having served for two years on The Rockefeller University Council. Ms. Neustein is a co-chair of the Women & Science Committee.

Ms. Neustein joined Goldman Sachs in 1982 as a member of the investment banking division and became partner in 1990. Moving to the executive office in 1991, she was the firm’s chief of staff until mid-1999, through its public offering. Ms. Neustein became a member of the firm’s Management Committee in 1999, as well as Chairman of the Private Equity Group. She has served on more than a dozen of the firm’s major operating committees.

Ms. Neustein is Founder and Managing Member of The Spoken Hub LLC. The Spoken Hub provides voice-based technology to organizations nationwide.

Robin Chemers Neustein is President of the Board of the American Ballet Theatre, and a trustee of Brown University, Mount Holyoke College, Mount Sinai Hospital and Medical School, and the Rosh Foundation. In addition, she serves as a vice chairman of the American Women’s Economic Development Corporation. Ms. Neustein is also a member of the Advisory Board of In-Q-Tel, the CIA’s venture fund.

Ms. Neustein attended Mount Holyoke College, received an A.B. from Brown University, and earned a J.D. and an M.B.A. from Northwestern University. She and her spouse, Shimon, have a daughter, Ellie, who is an “alumna” of The Rockefeller University Child and Family Center.
