Anthony B. Evnin, Ph.D.

Anthony B. Evnin is a managing general partner of Venrock Associates, one of the oldest venture capital firms in the United States. He joined Venrock in 1974. Previously, Dr. Evnin was a research scientist and business development manager at Story Chemical and Union Carbide. He has been a member of the Rockefeller Board of Trustees since 1999 and was formerly a member of The Rockefeller University Council; he is chairman of the Board's Committee on Technology Transfer.
Dr. Evnin serves on the boards of Caliper Technologies and Sonic Innovations, and numerous private companies including Memory Pharmaceuticals, Sunesis Pharmaceuticals, and Icagen. Dr. Evnin is a trustee of Princeton University.
Dr. Evnin received an A.B. in chemistry from Princeton and a Ph.D. in chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
